2021As Sky One transitioned into Sky Showcase and Sky Max, we reunited with Sky Creative to develop a new musical identity for the channel. Leaning into a soulful, groove-driven sound, the music was designed to reflect Sky Max's fresh focus on entertainment and comedy. The result is a playful, upbeat ident that brings warmth, energy, and personality.
How We Made It
We designed a standout “lightning bolt” audio signature using a hybrid approach: combining synthetic whooshes with real, human-recorded vocal and percussive elements. This gave the ident a tactile, electrified edge. The bolt is layered with a toe-tapping, funk-inspired groove that builds across the ident. With sharp guitar stabs, gritty basslines, and punchy rhythms, the final track brings attitude, swagger and momentum — all aligned with the channel’s personality.
