We composed the original title theme for Last One Laughing UK when the show launched on Amazon Prime Video. For the Halloween special, released on 23 October 2026, Banijay asked us to rework the theme and design the sound for a new opening title sequence.
The Brief
The Halloween special adds a second rule to the format. The comedians can't laugh, and now they can't scream either. The titles needed the theme audiences already know from the series, taken somewhere darker, with a moment for every comedian as their name lands.
The Sound
We reworked the original theme with a darker, creepier twist. The sound design follows the cast through the sequence, from Jack Dee's big splash to Reece Shearsmith's bone break, Phil Wang's slimy splosh and Tom Allen's letter bash. Every sound was delivered as its own file so the edit could place each hit exactly.
What We Delivered
Music and sound design for the opening titles, plus three beds for the special itself.
Show Music
We also scored three beds, using the same palette of harpsichord, organ, celeste, strings and brass.
