A new titles sequence for TNT Sports' Premier League coverage, made with our collaborators at WMP. We wrote the music and the sound design, building on the TNT Sports theme we created in 2023.
The Brief
A new season has to feel like an event from the first frame. The titles needed to carry the scale of the Premier League, the noise and the anticipation and the sense of something starting, while still sounding unmistakably like TNT Sports. An audience that had lived with the theme for two seasons needed to hear a step up, not a replacement.
The Sound
Rather than start again, we remixed the original theme. The melodic identity stays intact and everything around it was rebuilt for more energy. The biggest change is a human one. We recorded a diverse live choir at Air Studios, which gives the sequence a lift that samples cannot fake, and puts real voices behind a competition that is ultimately about fans.
