Molecular Sound wins a Royal Television Society Award with Sky Creative
10.12.25Molecular SoundWe won an RTS Craft and Design Award
We are thrilled to share that Molecular Sound is part of the winning team at the RTS Craft and Design Awards 2025, taking home Design – Titles for Sky Sports Lions Series 2025.
The award recognises a brilliant collaboration between Sky Creative, Konstantina, Coffee & TV, Molecular Sound and Absolute for Sky Sports.
Why this one means a lot
The RTS Craft and Design Awards celebrate the craft that happens behind the scenes, the specialist disciplines that make film and television feel unforgettable. To be recognised in a category like Design – Titles, where every frame, texture, movement, and sonic choice has to work in harmony, is a massive honour.
The jury described the sequence as “soaring” and “goosebump inducing”, praising its blend of First Nations Australian art and instrumentation with modern broadcast design, and the care taken in the collaboration.
The work: Sky Sports Lions Series 2025
Title sequences are a promise. In seconds, they have to carry history, identity, anticipation, and emotion. For the Lions, that means scale and intensity, but also respect for place, culture, and legacy.
Our role at Molecular Sound was to help bring that promise to life sonically, supporting the visual language with sound that feels contemporary, cinematic, and full of momentum, while honouring the collaborative spirit at the heart of the project.
A proper team win
Work like this only happens when every department pushes in the same direction. Huge thanks to everyone involved, especially Sky Creative, Konstantina, Coffee & TV, and Absolute, and to Sky Sports for backing bold, craft-led storytelling.
